The best meal I ever had was a five dollar pizza thrown up a fire escape.
ALL TIME FAV ROM COM! Cannot stress enough how much I love this movie. Stumbled upon it randomly and my bff and I were literally dying laughing and rooting so hard for them to be together. To this day, I still use the “love you despite” thing. I think that was sooooo cute. 10/10
Now this is what we call a very good rom-com. Zero advertising zero promotion and yes since i saw it now i can compare it to the "best rom-com of the years" Anyone But You which is nothing but the promotion and reels from Sydney's amazing beauty (not beauty). And here there is true chemistry between them.
But here you have the adorable extra goofy charming likeable loveable Zoe Deutsch. A lot of laugh out loud moments, great script and romance, of course nothing unique on it but the execution was perfect. Lucy Liu was superb and gay Pete was funny.
If you are a fan of rom-coms, like good ones you should definitely watch this instead of what social media pushes because they have a catcy song at the end. This was really funny.
Predictable as hell, but yet, I love it despite that.
The personal assistant characters are solid and work well together. The bosses are horrible caricatures, but they even have their moments.
Some really funny bits are worked in that don't feel like they take away from the story of the main characters.
Some really funny moments in there. Really worth watching.
I really liked that the movie made a distinction between Charlie’s boss and Harper’s boss at the end; Rick was clearly a self-entitled arsehole, but Kirsten was just a badass woman in power. Those are two very different things, and I’m glad the movie made that so clear!
I love that we actually got to see the chemistry and the little moments of bonding between Charlie and Harper! It wasn’t just insta-love or a shallow romance. They were truly cute together <3
It's everything a romcom should be- good-chemistry between lead actors, funny side characters & uncomplicated plot.
If I were a student and watched this, I don't think I would appreciate it. But now that I'm an employee, this hits hard. Plus, I think this is one of the great rom-coms I've watched this year. I love the chemistry between the main characters.
