I watched it a long time ago. It came out in 2011 and I watched it in 2013 or 2014. It is a production that I liked very much and I think it can be among the best films of that time. Even though all these years have passed, I still remember its scenes. It may be one of the first productions of this kind that I watched. If you haven't watched it, you should definitely watch it, but if you are going to evaluate it, it would be more logical to evaluate it according to the year it was released at least. I added it to my favorites. Thanks for your efforts.
amazing movie with a great finale
Emocionante en todo momento.. Awesome
as a kid i would love this movie, as an adult having grown up in the 80s i was constantly reminded of the movie Over the Top. it's almost an exact replica as far as the script goes. was able to to get past that easily, good movie.
Was expecting this movie to be average verging upon mediocre but got into this pretty fast, Max's (the kid's) acting in this was impressivans he made the movie great. Nice story and takes the top spot for the best movie I've watched this year.
Really liked it... expected less from it to be honest.
Story was fun, the kid is indeed believable (acting really good) and Hugh Jackman is always awesome.
CGI is really good too, good action and some humor in it...
Enjoyed it very much!
Better than expected. The kid was believeable too which is pretty important :)
I had a lot of fun watching this one. It's a nicely done "Transformers" meets "Rocky" movie.
The story was also nicely done. They stayed clear from a few clichés that could have ruined the movie, like for instance the boy finds out right at the start that his father (Hugh Jackman) "sold" him to his aunt and her husband instead of him finding out much later and getting all upset about it. Also the father didn't try to get custody back from the aunt witch i thought he would do for a second there when he apologised at the door.
The CGI robots were very nicely done. Especially in HD it looked like two real robots were pounding the shit out of each other.
Overall i say that this movie gets a thumbs up, 8/10.
I just got back from seeing this. I loved it and thought it was a ton of fun!
