The Joneses

A seemingly perfect family moves into a suburban neighborhood, but when it comes to the truth as to why they're living there, they don't exactly come clean with their neighbors.

Suburban hell, meet the Joneses: they're a mess, but somehow, you're invested. This dark comedy's got bite, but sometimes it's all bark and no bite.
Imagine feeling bad about scamming rich people.
A cautionary tale about the need to buy bigger and better things, intermixed with ads for the new Audi line.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie. Duchovny was great. Amber Heard is beautiful. The less you know going into the movie the better. It will make you laugh and by the end make you think about your life.
This movie was largely forgettable. I wasn't sure if the film was supposed to be tragic or satirical as it did neither well. I was ready to shut it off after the first 40 minutes but it did rebound some towards the end. At some points it was just one long product placement vehicle (not unlike the beginning of Up in the Air). Amanda Beard.... that was something.
