Based on a True Story

Delphine is the author of an autobiographical novel that has become a bestseller. Exhausted by the promotional tour, just when she feels out of place, paralyzed by the idea of having to start writing again, she meets Elle, a young, attractive, intelligent, intuitive woman who seems to understand her better than anyone.
Reasons for me not wanting to watch this movie:
- I am completely dependent on subtitles
- it's a Cannes movie
- Roman Polanski
Why did I watch it ?
Eva Green.
I felt like I'd watched the movie before because there are many like this one. It was in itself rather useless as I didn't think it adds anything of value. The writer in this story acts very naive. There is a certain suspense and build-up towards an unsatisfying (for me) end. Because that's just it: it ends.
I rate this a generous "5" but that's at least one point for Eva Green who has the ability to turn from a beautiful woman into a creepy, scary maniac literally in the blink of an eye.
