An almost awe-inspiring and humbling journey through time and existance. Directionless is an unfortunate word I would use for this peice. A lot of gorgeous visuals paired with a provocative spoken word sprinkled into the runtime.
However, any full immersion is broken with jarring CGI, missmatched images to the verbal dialogue, and a lack of guidance through the narrative.

It's expected that CGl will be used and I would hope it would be masked by the practical effects and gorgeous nature shots. This film almost achieves this, until they throw a giant prehistoric lizard on screen, taking the focus away from a world that will always look a thousand times better than computer generation.

Sometimes the narration is poetic, meditating, and thought provoking. And other times it’s Brad Pitt saying "intelligence" behind a picture of a fish with a big head. Not all of Mr. Pitt's narration keeps you centered in the moment, but neither is it always a distraction.

Again, it is almost a masterpeice that I would put on every night to go to sleep. instead, however, I will think about this one additional time on a metro ride home from work.

Empty documentary. Some déjà vu nature footage (hello BBC), some digital pictures, and very few information. Don't waste your time.

It's like watching a live wallpaper on your phone. Very slowly, very boring.
