Imagine a regular guy falling in love with a girl who has an incurable disease.

The story follows Jamie Randall, a charming and carefree pharmaceutical salesman who lands a job at Pfizer, selling Viagra. There, he meets Maggie, a smart and beautiful woman. What starts as a casual relationship soon evolves into a deep emotional connection. However, things become more complicated when Maggie is diagnosed with a degenerative disease.

The film explores themes like love, vulnerability, and the emotional and physical challenges that come with illness. It deals with these sensitive topics using a light comedic tone, creating a balance between humor and heartfelt emotion.

The acting is fantastic—both leads deliver convincing performances, capturing the emotion, conflict, and chemistry between them. Maggie’s reluctance to commit due to her illness adds depth to the story.

The comedy is genuinely effective—this is one of the few films where I laughed out loud more than five times. The way the film portrays the impact of chronic illness on relationships is both touching and thought-provoking.

the film is decent and nothing is so special except for the meaning I can infer from it ( not sure if this is also what the film wants to express.) When you think you are taking care for the others, you are actually taking care of yourself.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway's chemistry is probably my favourite thing about this movie. Hope to see them acting alongside each other again in the future!

Based on the book 'Hard Sell is a lovely, charming film that blends rom-com with seriousness. Mature romance stands out, though tonal shifts aren't always seamless. Still a worthwhile watch for the leads!
Charming pharma rep falls for a woman with early-onset Parkinson's. Love is there but a person doesn't want to be burdened on the other, full of emotions. The situations though little ott but keeps you hooked however the pharma backdrop feels a bit separate.
Gyllenhaal is good, but Anne Hathaway, you girl, you superstar. Hell of a performance. Emotions oozing out of her eyes, her body showing her sickness was nuanced. Their on-screen connection and chemistry is the heart of the film.

The movie is quite good, the extending in the sexual content isn't helpful and it's just a filler, the relation between Jamie and Maggie is beautiful especially in the (i want you but i will hurt you ) part an overall 7 out of 10 but it could've been better.
