Strange and hypnotizing surrealistic drug trip. I like to watch films in general but I usually avoid the ones that's about filmmaking, the creative process of it, or its connection with the filmmakers, which doesn't interest me very much as they tend to drown in their own pretentiousness. As expected, there are some really pretentious choices going on but they do get drowned out in the rest of the film's great aspects. The films draws some interesting parallels between filmmaking obsession and drug addiction. It's one of those films which hard to get into at first but you start to fall under its spell once you give up trying to make sense of it. Took me some time to get into the rhythm of it but the two and thirds of the film succeed in keeping me captivated. Also the atmosphere is incredibly unique and the ending has stuck with me more than I imagined it would. I'm glad I finally watched this but I highly doubt this is one I’ll ever want to come back to.
