Feels like this movie was mislabeled by the streamer and should have ended up on Hallmark. However, good production values lift this from some of the more typical Hallmarkmas films. Eliza Taylor is delightful in one of the few roles outside of the "The 100" I've seen her in.

This, too, gave me the Hallmark feels! As a cord cutter I’ve been missing Hallmark movies.

Christmas is full of cheesy Hallmark style romance movies but with this being a Netflix movie, I expected a bit more. I expected at least some originality or at least better chemistry but it was quite disappointing in that regard. It is exactly like a dozen other Christmas movies you've already seen. Lacks originality, lacks chemistry, lacks any significant changes or meaning as the "party girl" didn't really seem to be a party girl at all and seemed to have no trouble adapting almost immediately. To ve honest, I was rather disappointed.

Just when you think that a Neflix holiday movie couldn't be any more by-the-formula, I give you "Christmas Inheritance".

the party heiress strikes again. yet you don't see anything about her so called partying life. Andy McDowell singing at some point, and a main counterpart with whom she shares zero chemistry. a typical Hallmark movie now on Netflix.

Christmas Inheritance is a clichéd and trite holiday comedy from Netflix. When her drunken antics get headlines painting her as a spoiled, rich, party girl, Ellen Langford is sent by her father to his hometown to deliver the annual Christmas letter to a family friend and get in touch with her small-town roots; but it comes with the catch that she must go incognito so that she doesn’t get special treatment. The writing is really bad, as the plot is full of all the standard tropes and the characters are all one-dimensional stereotypes. And the town is sickeningly Rockwellesque, with its goodhearted townsfolk and quaint shops. None of the acting is very good, but then again, they don’t have much to work with. Still, some of the comedy is kind of funny, and Eliza Taylor and Jake Lacy do a pretty good job at delivering the laughs. Formulaic and uninspired, Christmas Inheritance tries too hard to be heartwarming and fun, and ends up feeling forced and manipulative.
