Certainly not a cinematic masterpiece but it was watchable for what it was. If you're just looking for a simple, mindless distraction and you like Jackie Chan, this will fill the bill.
However, for some reason, the bad guys had a SHIELD-like Helicarrier. Weird.

How I rate:
1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too
9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

Has its moments, and Chan still shows his action prowess, but as a whole, this bonkers effort is more leadweight than steel.

**High octane, senseless and undecissive mixture of SciFi-Action-Thriller-Comedy**

It's the most expensive chinese movie made not in China but in Australia. With 65 Million Dollars you can see the budget.

Done like a Hollywood Blockbuster, this movie starts first with a very dramatic exposition, but then gets action-packed with another past-paced exposition and then the action sets in, but something is missing: the storytelling, the characters, the involvement of the viewer.

Yes, the movie is done with a lot of energy, with a lot of heart, with stunning action sequences, but the movie can't decide, whether to be funny or serious.

From beginning to end, the plot is just a crude, inconsistent sequence of motifs that have never really been worked out or are quickly integrated into the plot to fill one or the other motivation gap, but narratively the film is lousy and the characters are superficial and implausible.

The movie is not entertaining, because it leaves me as a viewer alone with its inconsistencies and absurd plot developments that make no sense.

If you are drunk and just want some stupid action flick, watch it.

All others: Skip this one.

Not recommendable.

Well...I didn't expect much, and I didn't receive it either.

I usually give projects involving Jackie Chan a chance just based on the fact that it is...well...Jackie Chan. This time however...it came back to bite me in solid in the left cheek.

Bleeding Steel is a mess. A confusing mess. The story is just plain weird, the acting is "stiff", and the attempts at English is atrocious. I didn't even try the English dub. The only redeeming factor is the action scenes. Bloody excellent as usual. Especially the one involving a big white landmark in Sydney.

Anyway...if you are not an extreme Jackie Chan fan, you can probably skip this one without any regret.

What a waste of time. The VFX was awful, the acting was okayish in general but terrible many times.
Don't do the same mistake, watch something else...

Weird and confusing and amazing. This was a wild swing for a Jackie Chan movie, and it's probably a miss for most people, but I was here for it.
