The Place

The movie was appealing. It intrigues you more ote and more as you watch it through.

First of all, I haven’t watched the series “The Place” took most of its ideas from. Even though I was expecting more intriguing twists, I enjoyed the movie nevertheless. Rather than the way each character’s fate intertwines by the end, it’s remarkable how good the pacing was despite the whole movie being shot at the same table. The plot takes place outside the bar, yet we can only hear about it from the characters’ mouths. Not sure if it can be as entertaining if you don’t know Italian and need to rely on subtitles.

The ending felt like a wasted opportunity. I’m also not sure why the bomb was ticking while it was supposed to be remote-controlled. The mysteries of life.
