Pretty decent science fiction movie. More of a love story when it all comes down to it. Though it did have a number of holes halfway through which led to rushing the ending, overall it was a decent story. With the pace of the first hour, the movie could have been turned into a series to develop the ending better.
Outer space Filet-o-fish
Okay hear me out, it started great. The story felt amazing, the acting was good, the pacing of the movie was great.
And then they ruined it big time…
Dude went in surgery and came back like a alien that couldn’t talk anymore, had 4 fingers and his finger nails were fucking vines that could become long and hard.
Their was so much potential in this movie.
now all he has to do up there by himself is starve until he's able to grow some food, try not to get mind numbingly bored with zero entertainment, others, or creatures, try to breed without a mate like him, and build up an entire society just like the one back home.
The movie started interesting, got really bad and then had a good ending. It's a bit like Ex Machina.
a compelling and paced opening that doesnt deliver in the back end. the acting is solid the writing and directing are okay. until the movie can't stall any longer and is forced to try to do something with what build up it has. then it stumbles and falters to a finish.
I think they forgot the purpose of the plot in the end: so we will be saved by a single man on Titan who can’t even communicate or do a single useful thing a part from swimming, flying and killing?
Not a great movie - just OK - it was just good enough to give it a thumbs up on Netflix. ...and I liked Pedro's comment here - why not just genetically modify humans to survive on Earth?
Interesting topic and it starts well, but then it gets lost and the end ........
