Unlike one of the previous commenters I thought this was a pretty fresh take on the cold war spy thrillers.
It's like a John Wick inspired John Le Carre production with a distractingly beautiful lead.
It's what Atomic Blonde could have been with a more coherent script.
Luc Besson will never be one of the highly esteemed writers/directors because he's niched himself in the action/thriller franchise but within that franchise this is a freaking masterpiece.

Yes! i like much - absolute insane action movie with a touch erotic... a successful mixture of _Nikita_ (Luc Besson), _Codename: Nina_, _Atomic Blonde_, _Red Sparrow_, _Salt_ and _Ava_... something like that :-) Russian model ==Sasha Luss== is a feast for the eyes... so far she has made three films only and plays the part of femme fatal convincingly! i really enjoyed (+++) stable `9/10`

A novel take on the traditional spy thriller genre. Stylishly filmed, superbly acted, constantly surprising in terms of scripting, dedicated not only to the action but also to the characters.

So I have not seen any of the recent Luc Besson films or even Nikita so I can't compare Anna to any of the earlier films but I gotta say I really enjoyed this one. It got great performances by the lead actress and Helen Mirren. And it stays exciting and thrilling til the very end. Also a lot of twists and turns.

I really loved this femme fatale. But perhaps there's nothing really to compare it to recently. I hated Miss Bala. Liked Nikita. Loved this movie. I felt like they really brought the right amount of empathy with her character and believable training and smarts. You start to really love the character and hope she pulls through. The only thing that took away from it were the 4 to 6 flashbacks. It made it a bit too comedic- it felt like Ocean's 11. And really took away from the plot twists. Overall, though I really loved the movie, lovable characters, believable relationships, and entertaining action with just the right amount of sexiness.

yes it's not perfect but it's definitely very enjoyable ! specially if u focus while u watching otherwise u will get lost in flashbacks and think its so complicated while its very very simple tbh
also ppl here r giving it 2 and 3 for the accent srsly ??? personally i only know 2 of the actors and the rest i couldn't tell if they r Russian or American
and i loved how they got little drama into it, little Romance and emotions, it was a nice touch
watch it to enjoy not to judge too deeply pliz

This is not an action packed movie. If that is what you are looking for, then this movie might not be for you! It does have very good action scenes, but they are not many.

The story of this movie is amazing, I was constantly interested, and I was always trying to figure out what is going to happen.

Good tip, keep an eye on the timeline, there are quite a lot of time jumps (I actually like them)
