More successful as a travelogue than a romantic thriller. It's still an okay watch, but the narrative flaws can be frustrating.

I'm unpleasantly surprised. High production values, and only slow in a few places—not enough to bother me. But the story arc offsets the good acting and nice cinematography. This would rate easily in the 70s based on its production quality, but clearly the story drops the rating at least 10%. And no, it's not a thriller. Watch it as a romance in exotic settings.
