Honestly, massive surprise. I fear people won't watch this because Geostorm is a thing that happened. However, Greenland (possibly also not helped by its not exactly exciting title) is a genuinely well made film. I kept waiting for it to descend into disaster film nonsense and it just didn't. So much so, I almost didn't realise we were at the end of the film when we got there because I was expecting something different to happen. I put this on as a 'popcorn flick' but was gripped throughout. The tension that runs through it is superbly well done. I see its been tagger as thriller as a genre on here, rightly so.

3 Thoughts After Watching ‘Greenland’:

1. I’m in awe of how fantastic this film was. This is what every disaster film should aspire to be. One of the best I’ve seen in a very, very long time. Nearly perfect pacing. Great acting. Nothing cheesy. Kudos.

2. It’s a tragedy that I couldn’t see this in a theater with a crowd. It would’ve been a thrilling cinematic experience.

3. Not one moment of this film was wasted or filler. Every moment contributed to the next. And every moment contributed to my anxiety. As it should have.

Bonus Thought: The mirror of humanity here was truly terrifying.

I really liked this movie.

I'm gonna be as vague as I can possibly be here, but if you decide to watch it, stop watching the movie at the 1:50:56 mark and let that be the end of the movie for you.
the actual end of the movie sucked! It's a world-ending disaster movie. You don't need to ruin the whole film with a happy, everything is going to be back to normal vibes at the end. a complete waste
Credit where it is due, this is a very solid disaster movie. It felt very real, very authentic to how the situations would play out.

Rather than going for huge CGI, it relies a little more on the human impact and the fear, uncertainty and chaos that would occur. And that is a wise choice from the creators.

I was 30 minutes in and wondering how another 90 minutes could play out... But it does, and it does it very well.

I thoroughly enjoyed the twists and turns this offered. It felt grittily real. And there were leaps of faith in believability but they weren't too far to go.

Well done.

I really enjoyed this movie because it really dug deep into how important you are to the survival of the planet (If you are lucky enough to have a special skill, you can survive).

I'M a delivery driver (I'M SCREWED)....

But I really enjoyed this movie it captured my attention.
