Strong Acting and excellent writing mesh with very effective directing to make this a movie that pulls you in. I didn't expect to find this movie all that compelling. But Sarah Paulson rarely disappoints. and this isn't one of those times.

This movie had everything going for it: a strong story, wonderful actresses, good music and excellent cinematography. However, to me, the ending feels tacked on and undoes some character development. Many may see nothing wrong with it, but, it seems SHOCK VALUE was what they went for, instead of a thriller with morality, a morality the film maintained until the last minute and a half.

Predictable twists, but there was still lot of room for suspence. The ending was perfect.

Run (2020)

Streaming : Hulu

Run Time : 89 mins

Coming from the director of Searching , which set benchmarks for desktop movies comes another ironic story, a different genre now this time he brings a mother to centre stage. Aneesh Chaganty usually tries to keep the grip of a story extended just like he did in searching and he is successful again in Run too. A mother's love is different and strong is the theme of the movie . Sure this is not a spoiler. Run as title is an irony in itself which you will know once you see this flick in Hulu. Run is Dark, Intense and quiet gripping for the 90min runtime it offers. The premise is fresh , with twisty revelations the movie keeps you booked and the performances keep you hooked.

Sarah Paulson is unflinching. Calm yet resentful , caring yet terrifying she portrays Diane's character with genuine conviction. While Kiera Allen performance is nothing short of the best superlatives I can imagine. She is terrific gives her purest performance. The movie is intense in many parts and though has some inconsistencies is a highly gripping and engaging psychological thriller you can watch and recommend others too.

✅ Overall, Run is a truly enjoyable and gripping thriller which reflects a mother's relationship with a daughter and how she is obsessed with it. Definitely worth a Watch 👍

✅ No PG Required. Family Watch possible over a weekend.
