Scary, for sure. Expect psychological horror and a few jump scares. But overall, the movie tackles a big topic. It also plays a lot with perspectives which is great. I'd say, it deserves a good rating.
Loved this. Brilliant pace, excellent use of visual effects, an awesome score, and a compelling story that keeps you wondering.
Really very creepy and uncomfortable. This movies is really good. Including the ending.
This film succeeds due to two key things--Rebecca Hall's tortured performance and the general mood of darkness & isolation. As with most moody horror films, the ending suffices for its purposes but can't live up to everything that built to that point. I did love some of the reveals as you start to understand more about the mystery, and they felt impactful due to how Hall portrayed the reactions to them. Mystery horror fans will love this, much like I did.
This movie stands completely on the performance of the main character. And I think Rebecca Hall was quite convincing. A good horror movie but maybe they could forget about the jump scares next time.
I rewatched the trailer afterward to be sure, and I really found it and the name misleading. The whole house and the mirror house/world concept play's a very little role in the movie, and it left me a bit disappointed. I expected more of this alternative reality stuff.
Better than i thought for sure. It's kinda felt liked something very familiar but the way the plot was written it was good and Rebecca Hall gave one of the best perfomances i have ever seen in a horror film. Not something special but still liked it. 7.0/10
Like a good Monday, it started off even more normal than expected but then somehow got better along the way.
In the face of all the neo, A24 horror hitting the screens like weird bugs on a windshield, it's reassuring to see traditional horror movies can still keep my interest and give me a start.
The creepy and intriguing buildup thankfully makes up for the underwhelming ending.
A decent house by the lake horror film with a little bit of The Invisible Man in there. Watch it if you are a fan of Rebecca, she is great in it.
