Sets things up, delivers specularly, and stays within a reasonable time limit. You donât have to be The Godfather to be a 10/10
Final Destination: Bloodlines breathes new life into the long-running horror franchise with a clever reimagining of fate and family. While the characters remain thinly drawn, the film delivers exactly what I crave; elaborate, nerve-wracking death sequences paired with a sharp sense of dark humor. Tony Toddâs (RIP) return adds gravitas, and the filmâs updated mythology manages to feel fresh without abandoning its roots.
The best part of all, perfectly revealed the characters of the characters, connected everything together, you empathize with the characters in contrast to the previous parts, I would love to watch this
Fuck, i wasnt expecting to love that as much as i did. The entire thing was so well done. When a 6th movie was announced i was nervous, i thought it'd go more the way of the 4th one. But this was incredible, and i think it might even be my favorite of the franchise. It'll need a rewatch, but i really did love this. The scene with erik and bobby in the hospital was insane. Every death was so well done, the tension was great. Erik stook out to me big time. Im here for so many more final destination movies if this is what they'll be like.
it's been a while since this saga truly had PEAK CINEMA and this was pretty much it! đ my anxious ass left the movie theater with approximately ten new phobias and an urge to take out all my piercings... for no particular reason...
also it fueled my worst phobia right off the bat: women with mommy issues becoming exactly their mothers (just like me fr)
idgaf about the cgi effects maybe they weren't cutting edge technology but the message was well delivered and that's all that matters TO ME !!! the deaths were pretty brutal & creative just how I like em
side note: I kept thinking the protagonist reminded me of courtney eaton lmao
I felt so bad for Bobby he was the least asshole family member since the beggining, I was hoping he'd _somehow_ make it :( oh well it is what it rip everyone
tl;dr: FUCK coins.
20 minutes in, yep this is the Final Destination I know. It kicks off with that familiar vibe, suspense, unease and eerie setup. Classic formula is intact, then skip to new concept. What surprised me was how naturally the new concept was introduced. It didnât feel forced or separate from the franchise's roots. Like often, long-running series lose their identity as they try to innovate. The new layer theyâve added is subtle yet smart, and it doesnât detach from what makes Final Destination iconic.
From my perspective, this film still has its spark. It respects the franchiseâs legacy, while daring to stretch the mythology a little further. The attention to detail in how they present the new concept is impressive. It feels fresh without trying too hard. I also loved the Easter eggs and references to the previous films. It's really treat for me whoâve followed the series from the beginning.
Note: Stay away from anything that have "View" on it. Either Lakeview or Skyview.
And thank God it was not about the lift but still avoid it.
I was completely blown away by this movie it exceeded my expectations way more than I thought could be possible. This might be the movie of the year for 2025. There have been so many sequels and I don't think they could have done a better job if they tried. 10/10
did not expect this to be the best film in the franchise but boy was I wrong. RIP Tony Todd
should be featured in comedy genre
âYou know you make me wanna shoutâŚâ
Do yourself a favor and watch this movie.
