My Hero Academia: Heroes Rising

Class 1-A visits Nabu Island where they finally get to do some real hero work. The place is so peaceful that it's more like a vacation... until they're attacked by a villain with an unfathomable Quirk! His power is eerily familiar, and it looks like Shigaraki had a hand in the plan. But with All Might retired and citizens' lives on the line, there's no time for questions. Deku and his friends are the next generation of heroes, and they're the island's only hope.

I'm gonna have to open a bread factory with how buttery the animation is in this movie.

Perfect movie. This is everything I could ask for in a MHA movie. Amazing story and amazing villains, and a heartfelt moment between Deku and Bakugo. And the animation at the 1 hour and 29 minute mark was stunning.

the first my hero academia movie felt kind of like an "extended episode", it was good but not that incredible, however this movie really pushed the bar far higher.

first of all, the animation is really nice and there are also a lot of great and complex effects, just a wonder to watch

second, the plot was much better. the villain motives fell kinda flat honestly, it was just the usual "i want to rule the world" and not that much more but he still had some cool powers. it kinda felt dumb how he supposedly reached his limit and then became a huge machine of destruction for at least another 30 minutes but it's an anime, it's to be expected.

the fights were quite good, quite spectacular to say the least. i kind of got a heart attack on the final battle but thank god everything went as expected.

overall an amazing experience and a must watch for anybody that loves my hero academia.

be careful thought, watch until the end of season 4 before watching the movie, otherwise you will feel quite a jump in midoriya capabilities. the movie is supposed to be taking place between the 4th and 5th season, so that's the sweet spot

>"One who will become king doesn’t need to rely on dirty tricks."

Might have one of the most beautiful scenes I have every seen in an anime movie. I am wondering if this is actually canon because the third act has something that has me confused but overall this was a great watch.

Well I'd have many things to say after this, first of all,
can we talk about how good hero is Shoji and yet he's so underrated!
Not gonna lie, I was ready to score this with a 9 only based on the fight scenes but the last one was almost a meh, the song totally ruined the climax and... I mean, I didn't quite understand the whole thing with One for all, is Katsuma a possibly predecessor for that power? Who knows, maybe..
The second outing of a film from MHA proved to be a more superior one.

The emotional and charm factors here far outway that of Two Heroes. The action pretty much all throughout is much more varied as well and does not focus too much characters on the front line like before too. Giving the main cast time to shine. Again, the end fight is where the animation and spectacle comes to it's height and it is quite the sight.

The only thing besides structural difficulties in the beginning that holds this movie back is that it is canon. If this was able to be it's own film the ending and impact from the final moments without them being forcefully meaningless emotionally, would be pretty damn satisfying. But they couldn't have that be for some reason. I doubt much of the events here will be mentioned or factor in through the show following this.

Aside from that, I'd say it's overall a solid film if you like the series.
