one of the BEST musical movies, with a wonderful message to girls and boys YOU CAN BE AND EMBRACE YOUR LIFE ! FANTASTIC

Not gonna lie I FREAKED when they did _Somebody to Love_ 'cause that was an _Ella Enchanted_ highlight and ahhh now I want to rewatch the latter. 😊

Not even gonna lie thought it was amazing like love the songs in it and everything about it. Great film

wow. from most of the whiny comment, especially the racist one, let alone the openly misogynistic comments, you would think this was the worst thing to ever happen.

for anyone else, it's a great twist on an old favorite,
1. encouraging real true love,
2. the end of misogyny, and
3. discourages racism to the point a very racist comment is included in the comments before mine. poor baby felt so desperate in his trailer park, he had to comment

BTW racists, Cinderella was always a brunette and the story was actually brought to Europe from China via the Silk Road. not even a "white" story to start with. kinds like you want to pretend Jesus was blond. get over yourselves already

I really loved the modern concept, the way it deals with patriarchy and stereotypes. A deep analysis deserves this movie. However, some scenes had details that messed up the plot (not in a bad way necessarily, but they were over the top).

I don't understand so much negative review. If you like musicals you will love it. If you expect a copy of Disney this is not your movie.

This was a lot of fun. It was supposed to be a light hearted take on the classic story, not Citizen Kane and I think it succeeded. It wasn't perfect but it was amusing and I loved the re-imagined songs. The large musical set pieces were impressive, the choreography was good, and the costumes were amazing. I can see myself watching this again in the future like I still go back and watch heath ledgers a knights tale.

I was ready to dislike and reject this version but I was completely surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Such a delightful version. I love cinema because of exactly this. Once in a while something comes up and completely subverts your expectations.

I love musicals but I don't really like musicals with pop stars in the lead. This was good. It had a bit of a Knights Tale vibe with the music.

Doesn’t have the best start... but it gets entertaining and then even better. The comedy bits, the song covers, the style, all really good. The make-up though, is terrible!
On the music side, great performances. Idina Menzel was absolutely amazing hitting every note. Best vocals of the whole cast.
