This movie raped my soul for the third time bu I can't get enough.
Another unique and brave performance by Eva Green. This movie explores a theme that is intriguing, disturbing, obsessive and frankly a bit unhinged. It is a slow progression but I think that it is necessary for you to have the time to digest the movie as it goes along and ponder as you watch the small intricacies of the story and the developments that occur. The cinematography is lovely but I may be biased as the landscape that provides the backdrop for this impeccable film is outstandingly beautiful and visually uncluttered which lends itself to the idea of roaming, wandering and finding yourself somewhere new and unexpected. This movie may mess with you a lot but it keeps you thinking and leaves you incomplete in thought. If you like an outside-the-box film give this a try. It will not disappoint.
this movie changed me as a person forever
Intriguing topic, nice cinematography but a bit slow. Keeps you thinking though...
A minimalist and interesting science fiction, the story deals with cloning in an original and bizarre way. The development is a little slow, with introspection that could sometimes give way to more dynamism between the protagonists. The passage of time could also be better exploited to increase involvement with the story. However, the narrative takes on disturbing tones and follows increasingly strange paths. The cinematography is wide, simple and beautiful, with cold, dense tones, reinforcing the sense of isolation and loneliness.
I just like how totally weird and discombobulating this movie was.
Movie touches on human cloning in a totally different way and story is something very unique. How far would you go to get your lost loved one back? This movie is about that! Extremely slow and rather lengthy. The intimate scenes between Tommy (son) and his mom was a bit uncomfortable for my viewing and the ending was a bit graphic for my liking, but hey if that is how you tell a good story then go ahead. For me a 5/10.
Yes, very intriguing topic but the movie just went too slow to have my undivided attention over the full length.
One of the worst movies l've ever seen. Totally unrecommended 4/10
It may sound crazy but ""Back to the womb"" 🙂
