Brothers

Well, this movie is not going to get an oscar nomination, but this was one of the best movies of 2024. Yes, young ladies and gents it is a MUST WATCH!

I can't say it's very perfect, but it's above average It was a nice and entertaining production, Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin's chemistry is very good, the director's previous movie, Palm Springs, was also a very fun and good movie, I recommend it to those who haven't watched it 10/6.5 While watching, I kept thinking of the movie Gemini (1988) starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito

Seeing as how I only have access to Prime on the vacation tv, time to start binging some Prime exclusives. The cast and premise of this movie seemed darn good and entertaining. Unfortunately, the plot did leave a chunk to be desired, but for a streaming film with a cast this good it is still worth watching!

Brothers is a formulaic crime comedy with no originality. However, the performances of Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin keep this film afloat just long enough to get some laughs.

Goofy-Stupid-Funny is the best way to describe this movie. It has it's fun moments.

'Brothers'... not the best. I wanted to enjoy it given I like those involved, but it really does fall flat and, despite a small run time, it doesn't flow well either. Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin are OK together, chuck in Brendan Fraser & Glenn Close and it's a good cast... on paper.

In reality, I didn't sense much from any of those on the screen and they have all produced far better. You also have Max Barbakow in the directing chair, the same can be said for him as it is safe to say this isn't the best follow-up for him after the excellent 'Palm Springs'.

Brothers, starring Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin, is a fun comedy about two unlikely thieves, twin brothers, involved in an unlikely heist that will make them deal with the legacy of their criminal family. The film flows very quickly thanks to a series of hilarious gags; Glenn Close proves she's still in good shape and seems to have had a lot of fun making the film. Brendan Fraser is also in this film and his character is pathetic and damn over the top, but that's why he's very funny. Recommended for those who want to spend a cheerful evening after an intense tiring day.

Up until a certain point it was heading in the right direction, then it took a lame wrong turn. I had a few good laughs though, the twins have a good chemistry.

What a remarkable waste of talent.

Honestly, until I saw this I didn’t realise anyone could make a movie this crap! Supposedly a comedy there wasn’t anything funny about it at all, not even in a smile or slapstick humour way. Waste of a cast and even bigger waste of my time.
