It was a good movie but Famke’s face and fake accent are distracting

Not ground breaking in anyway and no significant surprises. Good fun problem solving and variable characters. Enjoyable entertainment as a Sunday afternoon watch but unlikely to warrant a repeat viewing.

It was a great rainy Bank Holiday film. Story plot had a few holes in it, but it didn’t really matter.

Like a decent panini, this is only good because they they don't make it bad.

Heist films are such a simple recipe, yet they are so often underdone and contain too many additives (romance, emotional drama, exposition... ). The Vault brings absolutely nothing new to the table, but what it serves is at least appetizing and what it says on the menu.

Pros: I got addicted to looking at Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey.
Cons: I wanted to slap the smug off of Freddie Highmore's face so hard...

I thoroughly enjoyed that flick. A good heist movie is rare, and this one has all the right ingredients to make it fun... A bit predictable at times, but i t also manages to keep you on your toes. A good way to spend a couple of hours harmlessly entertained.

Putting weight on the scale was a nice thought.

Wouldn't work though, in order to get 1m³ of air in the room (or to keep it in) you'd need to put 1 metric ton of mass or its equivalent in weight onto the scale.
It's actually a simple calculation everyone who has graduated highschool should be able to make, since 1l of water weighs 1kg, 1l is 1dm³
and 1000dm³ are 1m³.
Well, at least if you grew up in a country using the metric system in which it is far easier to calculate things...

Given the dimensions of the room you'd need at least a few m³ in order to have air to breathe. The bottles are heavy - they are not that heavy.

---

The movie itself is still fun though.

I really enjoyed this movie. It was a smart, fun heist movie. The movie was presented in a way that made it look like it may have been based on a true story - it was not.

Although - I think Freddie Highmore may have been playing "The Good Doctor" too long - at times the character here felt a lot like Shaun Murphy.

If you liked either or both "The Italian Job" and "Ocean's 11" then you will most certainly enjoy this movie.

How I rate:
1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too
9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!
