In one sense there isn't anything new here in terms of the rom-com genre. Sure, there is a backdrop that I won't get into here (it is important) in case you haven't seen the movie. The film gets such a high rating because of the chemistry between the two leads. Sometimes just having that kind of intimacy is enough to carry a movie. I felt like I was on on the journey with them. I really, really enjoyed the movie.
