With Human Lanterns, Shaw Brothers pushed some boundaries of what they were able to show in the Hong Kong cinemas. There's apparently a whole scene that were left on the cutting room floor because no one thought showing a live skinning of a human in great detail were a good idea. Maybe they were right, and maybe not, but...

Human lanterns looks great, has some gruesome violence, and there's the usual impressive Shaw Brothers martial arts. What's not to like?!?
