This is one deeply ugly and twisted giallo that subverts my expectations. Though it's not super stylish, it's quite refreshing to watch one with an exceptionally strong mystery without meandering into incoherence. Thematically, this one is much more interesting as well compared to others that I've seen so far. There's a lot of nudity in here but since it has stronger focus on the plot and mystery, it never come across as pure exploitation. The way the film starts grabs me immediately and continually surprises. The brutal murders actually make me wince. They're not explicitly shown but definitely linger on in a way that make you sick. It's definitely worth seeing.

Very intriguing giallo, with a solid climax. I was not expecting where it went and was pleasantly surprised.
