I'm really not the target demographic so this kinda disappointed me but seeing a traditional Chinese folk tale be turned into a Steampunk ANIME-ESQUE story while still maintaining its Chinese roots is absolutely surreal. Multiple times where I just physically reacted to some of the absurdity on screen in an otherwise grounded and surprisingly dark world.

The score slapped and the actual animation looked incredible though.

Beautifully animated Asian superhero fantasy with some awesome action scenes but the story and dialogue didn’t work for me.
