I think this movie is amazing. All the magic was transported and everything is wonderful. Of course it's for children and the atmosphere is adequate but without this spectacular film none of the sequels could have been done. I just simply love it!

The first of the Harry Potter franchise is still as magical ever to watch. I was hooked from this film and couldn't wait for the others to come out. The characters are relatable and likeable and you just really want the main characters to succeed in their endeavours. I have always been drawn into movies that feature magic and this one is no exception. A must see for all!

There’s so many Quotes I love from this movie so I’m putting 2 here.

“There are all kinds of courage. It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”

“It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live, remember that.”

I’ll just start of by saying how much these films mean to me love them so much watched them countless of times and they just have that special feeling to them every single time easily one of the best movie franchises of all time and probably the most consistent not one bad movie which you hardly see normally there’s at least one or two bad ones but all of them are amazing to me.

The story especially with this one has that magical cozy feel to it and a Christmas vibe in parts but also still has got the darker sides to it like in the scenes in the dark forest and at the end with Voldemort this definitely is more on friendlier side compared to how dark the others become though.

Also really like how the film starts showing what Harry’s life is like before going to Hogwarts the build up is fantastic they the world building is so incredible, the sorting ceremony was such a cool scene always love that separate houses I’m a true and proud Gryffindor of course.

Harry, Ron and Hermione were casted perfectly all three of them was such great child actors was awesome seeing them grow and get better each film.

Every main adult actor are some of the most iconic characters ever Dumbledore with his wisdom and guidance,McGonagall with her wicked shapeshifting ability, Then we come to the dark prince himself Severus Snape who’s unfairly misunderstood find is back and forth with Harry fun to watch all his snarky comments to him.( RIP to all of these amazing legends who gave me so many great childhood memories.)
We also have the wholesome giant Hagrid his relationship with Harry, Ron, Hermione is one of the best things about character through these films, the way he just tells them things they shouldn’t know constantly was hilarious.( RIP to all of these amazing legends who gave me so many great childhood memories.)

Then we have villain Voldemort even though he wasn’t properly in this film they still did a great job of building his character up the end was a cool way to show him for the first time and who would of thought that “Poor,Stuttering Professor Qurirell”was involved , the ending was definitely one of the best parts with Harry, Ron and Hermione trying to find find the philosophers stone the Chess especially was a favourite part of mine.

Final thoughts one again doesn’t matter how many times I watch these films I’ll always love them the characters are so iconic and the overall world is just perfect to me. 10/10 (Spoiler for my future Harry Potter reviews there getting 10’s most likely.)

“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends.”

Sometimes I wish I could erase my memory and step into these magical movies for the very first time again as these movies actually are magical and I can’t express enough with how much love I have for each and every one of them as for me their all perfect and I wouldn’t change anything about them, not even Moaning Myrtle.

I think it’s the whole vibe and the feel that these have is what i love the most about them their so warm and joyful at first before all the crazy dark stuff and this one in particular is easily the least dark out of them all which is probably why I like this one so much as it has such a cozy vibe to it compared to the others but I do absolutely love how dark these movies go, even this ones got a couple of pretty dark moments.

Harry, Ron and Hermione are such a badass trio and I love the three of them so freaking much. I also adore Dumbledore, Hagrid and Snape who are three of my favourite characters with Snape being my all time favourite and I’ll explain in my future reviews why I love him so much.

No matter how many times I’ve seen this movie, I will always love seeing Harry preparing to go to Hogwarts as it’s so fun to watch him pick out all his stuff such as his wand and I also love seeing which house he’s in, obviously we all know he is in Gryffindor but I still find it mega fun to watch for some reason. I’m also a Gryffindor too!!

The end where Ron, Hermione and Harry are on the hunt to stop Voldemort and Quirrell getting their hands on the Philosopher’s stone was epic and the ending was incredible. Fluffy is a pretty scary dog though, cute but scary.

I’m giving this film a Wingardium Leviosa 10 out of 10 as it’s perfect like every other Harry Potter movie out there and my 5 star ratings are going to go hell of a lot higher from this point forward let me tell you.

10/10

this is one of those films you could watch a hundred times and still enjoy it.
i don’t even know how many times i’ve seen it.

it has something that a lot of films don’t have: magic.
it really feels like you’re entering a different world, and that magic never fades.

This movie was just as I expected it to be except for two things Harrys eyes where blue and in the book his green eyes are part of the mystery that surrounds Harry, Second they skipped the part with the the potions on the table in the last part wich showed the cleverness of Hermoine and the importance of paying attention in class, much more so then the Devils Snare scene. Other then that its what I expected bt there where a few more flaws they didn't make you feel sorry for Harry while he was with the Dursleys it just made them look strange instead of mean and to normal and they didn't introduce you to the magic of Harry Potter they just threw you in but it was a good movie and its not Chris Columbus's fault (except the eyes) you just can't take a book that great and make it into a movie thats also that great. So instead of the movie becoming a classic and everyone forgetting about the book like THE WIZARDOF OZ peopole should simply think of the movie as a Harry Potter tie-in instead of the other way around
