The Great Alligator

Unexceptional Jaws knockoff. Looks nice, but drags along and does very little unique.

God this movie was awful

I usually end up liking old creature features like The Great Alligator. There's often something charming about them, and most of that has to do with the creatures and how they are made. Practical effects are the best! I only ask that they don't break my ONE rule for films like this. They can't be boring.

Well... The Great Alligator is quite boring. Nothing really happens, and you barely see the creature at all. When you finally see the whole thing, it's swimming without moving its legs... Yeah... Not good.

I usually like Sergio Martinos offerings, but this was too phoned in and boring for my liking. The only real redeeming factor is that Barbara Bach looks great, but she looks great in other movies as well, so you can see her in those instead.
