I haven't watched any of the other Children of the Corn movies. I usually rate this genre by the shock factor. I thought this was great. That kid (played by Kate Moyer) is frikin' awesome. 😈

I get the feeling that most reviewers now are expecting every movie to be a masterpiece, even relatively low budget films like this one.
The only issue I found with this film was that the editing could have been better.
Bo is the only character that you are expected to feel sympathy for, everyone else is pretty much detestable. Kate Moyer plays Eden as a wonderfully evil little girl
.
I enjoyed this for what it was and found it to be one of the better adaptations of the source material since the very first one was made.

If you make the decision to watch this then do so expecting a what you should from a low budget horror film and you won't be disappointed.

Honestly this is not all that bad. Some of the actors are actually quite decent to good.
I like that they leaned more into practical effects and then CGI when needed for bigger set pieces.

I've seen way worse films with bigger budgets than this. Not really going to be high on the radar for a lot of people but it was a decent watch.

_Children of the Corn_ is a fresh and frightening take on Stephen King’s short story. When a small farming town votes to stop growing corn and take government subsidies, a group of teens decide to raise social awareness of the town’s plight by staging a mock trial, but things go horribly wrong. Kate Moyer is rather impressive for a child actor, and makes for a terrifying villain. And some of the violence is quite unsettling and brutal. However, the CGI creature design and effects are a bit weak, and there’s a tagged on jump scare at the end that’s complete garbage and spoils what was a pretty thrilling conclusion. Still, all-in-all, _Children of the Corn_ proves to be one of the better entries in the series, delivering some disturbing chills.

It really does feel like anything called Children of the Corn is cursed. Not because of the Children of the Corn, but because of the rubbish movies made from anything with that title.

This is one of the worst I have seen. Don't bother

There were so many horror tropes used in this that it could have been another general horror film if they weren't obsessed with the corn.

Same corn, different field

As the 11th in the franchise I imagined they would finally learn from the ten others and be able to do something decent... well no, this is just another rehash of past failures mixed in with some of the worst writing i've seen in a while. What really kills it is the acting, it's overdone and corny (except for that little girl). Could not stand the annoying main character. First 40 minutes could of been cut out it felt completely unnecessary. Not even close to being the worst CGI i've seen but I didn't like the idea of using CGI in the first place. Who the hell decided that was a good idea? The editing and especially the dialogue... ughh. There's not much logic and coherence used in this movie but the third act was something else, it's as if everyone gave up on it by that time. A decent attempt with the kills, some of them were creative and looked good. Final scene of the movie was my favorite.

Please just put this franchise out of it's misery already!

This one made the original look like an Oscar winner! Major issues with storytelling where you’re left wondering why did this happen. Eventually, you won’t care.

Who keeps making these movies man?! If I didn't had the OCD of finishing every movie based on Stephen King novels, I would have been lot happier.
