Christmas at the Ranch

When Haley Hollis returns to her family ranch to try and save it from closure, she wasn't banking on spending so much time with ranch hand Kate - or falling for her.

Was cute, would definitely recommend as a lesbian holiday movie!
_Christmas at the Ranch_ is a rather generic low-budget holiday film. When her grandmother’s ranch is faced with bankruptcy, Haley Hollis returns home to help find a way to save it. It’s a plot that’s been done ad infinitum and the film doesn’t do anything new or interesting with it. In fact the writing is pretty bad, particularly the leaden dialog and the awkwardly forced romantic subplot. However, Laur Allen has a bit of charm to her and makes for a likable (if underdeveloped) character. And there are some fun bits of comedy that are good for a few laughs. Yet while it has its moments, _Christmas at the Ranch_ is a mediocre and forgettable film.
Nothing about this movie engaged me. The threat was so weak there never was any real sense of peril. The personal traumas weren’t convincing and the romance didn’t really have any roots. Lindsay Wagner was the only one who gave a credible performance and she didn’t even merit mention in the end credits. I give this series a 4 (bad) out of 10. [Holiday Romance]
