I like that movie... that is a nice movie. I have watched Shrek at least once every couple of years since its release, and the charm has yet to fade. The fact that it manipulates fairy tales in the manner that it does is kinda genius. The plot of Shrek may seem formulaic and mostly predictable because it is, so were most of those fairy tales we knew growing up and that's not a bad thing. Memorable stories are often the simplest ones, and that's how fables, folk legends, and fairy tales often survive the test of time. Shrek, with a twist of irony, has become a modern-day fable of its own. The animation, while it may seem dated to some, I found it to be exactly what it needs to be, and the few CGI flaws that are present feel pointless to be picky about. Have to say, I love this 'whirlwind adventure'.

When it came out shrek took the world by a storm. And for a great reason, it reinvented the genre and it is still something to look out for today.

It was a middle finger to disney, they bested them in their own field and they did so showing something considered ugly on the screen.

Never ever, before Shrek, the message: "it is ok to be you", was delivered with such honesty, a remainder for all the films that claim to be "inclusive".

Perfection, the music is so good and I love these characters.

I am honestly so offended by the low rating. This movie is legendary. This movie changed animated movies. The👏jokes👏are👏still👏funny👏. How dare you all. You're scared of how good it is. Please learn to appreciate art.
