Some of the best animation I've ever seen, astonishingly, and an absolutely perfect finale to a series that has been in my heart for years.

The soundtrack is fantastic, I'm eager to get my hands on it when finally released, and I really appreciated the script taking itself seriously while also being (for the most part) very tasteful in its humor. I adore how silly the show was as it began and how exceptionally intriguing it was as it ended.

Thank you, Brendon.

I have mixed feelings about this one. A lot more serious than the Dethklok I know and love but can't complain about the movie itself because everything about it's fantastic. Best animation we've seen yet, voice actors all brought their A-game, soundtrack and writing are great. Overall a great finale to the series and glad we got this last chance to see the band.

Every time I have watched Metalocalypse I thought "this really needs a feature-length film to fully contain a proper ending to the story."
Sadly, this movie fails to do that.
Does it have some fun, gory moments? Sure. Does it have cussing without pinch harmonics? Yup. Do we get Facebones, and Doctor Rockzo? G-g-g-yeah, baby! Cocaine! Unfortunately, that's all it has.
The movie feels like it was made by people who didn't understand the tone or the characters from the cartoon, which is very odd because this is made by the show's creator. Whereas the show was a dark comedy, this feels like Star Wars or The Lord of the Rings. Far too serious, and when it wants to be funny, the humor simply does not land.
A major letdown, made even worse when you consider that it's likely the last we'll ever see of the world's greatest death-metal band.
