Rating this as what it is-- a feel-good romantic dramedy --it's great, because it does just that: it makes you feel good, and even has some decent mystery regarding the final outcome.

The pacing is excellent, it's funny, with a vibrant cast of characters that play off of one another very well. Kevin Kline was a hoot as the lecherous dissident intellectual, and you end up feeling about everyone just how you're supposed to, but without it feeling forced. Abigail Breslin was more than capable of everything the script asked of her and plays beautifully opposite Reynolds as the delightful, innocent-yet-bright heart of the story. It really wouldn't have worked as well as it did without her acting ability and the pair's onscreen rapport.

I won't go into detail about the lead actresses because I don't trust myself not to give away the plot with subtle preferential praise. I'll be honest, I expected to be somewhat jaded in the end as the story brushed over value conflicts and the consequentiality of the characters' life choices with the world around them, but that didn't happen, and in the end I was pleasantly surprised how everyone ended up. Yes, the very end is a bit sappy, but that's _why_ we watch these films.

In the end, it's a refreshingly humane film-- not just human. There's never any mocking or nastiness coming from the script, which is not something that can usually be said about general appeal films like this.

I've come to believe that rom coms are kind of like pop music. Both are generally frowned upon and there is a struggle to try not to be embarrassed for being a fan of any entries into the genres. I think a decent rom com - despite the propensity to saturate us with sweetness - will transcend the genre and demand that we get swept in to the story. As a viewer we can enhance the experience by not fighting it and just going along with it.

While this film doesn't rise to levels of some of the other classics (Love Actually, Sleeping with Other People, etc) I really enjoyed it. The film does something that I can't ever remember another rom com doing: while going through his dating history there didn't seem to be any bad guys (or gals). There were only missed connections. Some people complained about using the daughter as a device to tell the story - I thought it was clever. For what it is (a rom com), I really enjoyed it. If you feel good at the end it had to have done something right.

_Definitely, Maybe_ is a charming and fun romantic comedy that’s full of laughs. When Will tells his daughter the story of how he met her mother, he does so as a mystery (changing names and details to see if she can figure it out), but he inadvertently reveals more than he thinks. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Isla Fisher, Rachel Weisz, Elizabeth Banks, and Abigail Breslin, the cast is quite impressive and has good chemistry. And the script builds the mystery especially well. Also, the comedy is rather clever, with a biting satirical wit. An entertaining film about love and relationships, _Definitely, Maybe_ has a surprising amount of heart.

Keep's your interest from beggining till the ending scene but it's a little bit excessive in some points and plot isn't exactly what i excepted.I quess i could rated it as a 6.8/10 it could be way better but still worth's a watch.
