The History Boys

The story of an unruly class of bright, funny history students at a Yorkshire grammar school in pursuit of an undergraduate place at Oxford or Cambridge. Bounced between their maverick English master, a young and shrewd teacher hired to up their test scores, a grossly out-numbered history teacher, and a headmaster obsessed with results, the boys attempt to pass.
A beautiful film, in the tradition of Dead Poets Society.
The inclusion of the teacher who was both an inspirational figure, and someone who has a habit of inappropriately touching his pupil makes it a difficult film for some people to process.
All round excellent casting. I put on the movie for Russell Tovey who turned out to have the least number of lines. Instead, it was great to see the other actors shine.
