Jeffrey Hunter is a very depressed, cynical ex cavalry officer. He is persuaded to assemble a team of “Bastards” to rescue a man who is trapped in a rock slide. Over time he begins to display some honor. Pascale Petit is the wife who won’t give up on her doomed husband. The film includes a quest for gold, redemption, a touch of Hollywood, and some romance. Includes a stirring ballad that is actually sung in English.
