When we talk about Formula 1 racing, the first things that come to mind are speed and excitement. And who better to describe that feeling than Lewis Hamilton? It's enough to say that he’s the joint record-holder for the most Formula 1 championship wins, alongside Michael Schumacher — and he was also one of the producers of this film!

The movie takes place in the thrilling world of Formula 1, where Brad Pitt plays a retired driver named Sonny Hayes. After years away from the sport, he returns to the track to coach a young, talented driver named Joshua “Noah” Pearce, portrayed by Damson Idris. All of this happens within a fictional team called “APX Grand Prix.”

As for Brad Pitt’s performance — he absolutely nailed it! He conveyed the real feeling of being a racer on the track. One of the unique things about this movie is that they used Formula 2 cars modified to look like Formula 1 cars. Brad really brought back the vibe of “Top Gun: Maverick.” His acting reminded me of Tom Cruise, but with less action and more drama. Honestly, I loved his performance and gave it a perfect score.

Damson was amazing too. He did a great job playing the ambitious young driver aiming for the podium. I could really feel the passion and drive in his character.

The rest of the cast? Most of them are actual Formula 1 drivers, and their performances felt natural and authentic.

The movie is directed by the great Joseph Kosinski — the same director behind "Top Gun: Maverick" — which got me excited to see what he would bring this time. What I loved most is that a lot of the footage was real. They filmed eight actual races on real Formula 1 tracks!

I also want to give credit to Lewis Hamilton, who was part of the production team. He helped make the film feel real, like you’re the one actually racing.

And the cinematography? Honestly, calling it “amazing” would be an understatement. They used original, real footage without relying too much on visual effects, which gave the movie a very raw, realistic feel.

For your information, scenes were filmed on real F1 race weekends — Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — using Formula 2 cars modified to look like F1 cars to achieve maximum realism.

The soundtrack was fantastic too. It pulled me into every moment, and some of the tracks were so good I actually looked them up afterward.

Honestly? From my perspective, this film was flawless.

A história?

Saw this in D-box seats and it was life changing lol. Racing seems like the perfect thing for that gimmick and this just delivered in the best possible way. Sad that I won't be able to have this experience at home when I watch it again. In terms of gimmicks this tops seeing Avatar and Gravity in 3D by miles. Just beautiful.

Just a phenomenal spectra of a big screen, IMAX action pack thriller about a has-been professional racecar driver who gets a last chance at F1 redemption. It was definitely a long movie but properly long. It was a bit complicated to follow in terms of the fine details as you might need to have prior racing knowledge, however it still got the gist of what you needed to know to fully enjoy this film. Brad Pitt was a great fit for this role. It is a bit unique compared to other racing movies as it really deep dive into the intro, workings of the pit crew and engineers, and that was very entertaining the watch along with the incredible drone shots and filming of the race.
