Well it was very generic and I could see where the movie was going with all the death flags , still the climax just broke me

An Engaging Biopic: A Major's Valor and Sacrifice

This movie tells the story of Mukund Varadarajan, an Indian Army Major who lost his life during a counterterrorism operation while serving with the 44th Rashtriya Rifles Battalion in Jammu and Kashmir.

Despite its lengthy duration, the film is engaging and intriguing. The development of the characters was well done, and the romance aspect was acceptable. However, the introductory training scene felt exaggerated. Mukund's academy training, his first day on duty, his character's development over time, and the challenges he faced in his relationships were portrayed effectively. The emotional moments, such as his farewells to family and conversations over phone calls, were conveyed appropriately but sometimes felt excessive.

Sivakarthikeyan delivered a commendable performance in his role, while Sai Pallavi, although a talented actress, seemed to overact at times. The supporting cast fit their roles well. The music was decent, and the songs were enjoyable. The cinematography was also impressive.

In conclusion, it follows the typical biopic formula. Overall, it was a decent watch for me. Without the heightened emotional scenes, the movie might not have been as impactful.

A generic, commercialized biopic that feels identical to countless others, with its army hero portrayed as a near-invincible figure without real vulnerability. GVP’s music is a highlight, but the portrayal of certain sectors feels dehumanizing. Maybe Major Mukund deserved a better biopic after all I’ve read about him; the writing felt sluggish, and the editing irritated me at points. This could’ve been more personal and less devotional. While it may please some crowds, it was still subpar.

Apart from everything else, Hold on to the romantics. Hug loved ones tighter, be present, say "I love you" often, and capture moments—you never know when it'll be the last. Don’t take any second for granted.
