So bad it's good is exactly why this movie is worthy of a watch and rewatch. I love this flick. Not because it's accurate but because it's charming.

Out of every disaster films ever made, The Core is one of the dumbest, and if it hadn't been for the fact that I'm partial to these kinds of films, I probably would have hated this.

Well... I DON'T hate this. I actually like it!!

I have no idea why, other than the fact that disaster films are a guilty pleasure of mine, and I end up liking most of them, no matter how bad they really are. I might also be weird. You pick...

It's so inaccurate, cliché, and inconsistent to itself. Yet I'm rating it 7/10 because it's entertaining as hell and one of the very few movies I can't seem to get tired of re-watching. Pacing is great, the build up is masterclass, acting performance is great, you get to explore the insides of the earth, and it's even got a ridiculous hacking scene! If it were also accurate, it'd be a 10/10.

Welp, as far as worldwide destruction movies go, this *ain't* the worst. Not the best, either, but it's still at least entertaining enough to shut your brain off for all the ridiculous pseudoscience used to explain the plot or how our brave heroes would even pull off "restarting" the Earth's core.

Not the dumbest. But quite intriguing.
Take it with two pinch of salt rather than one.

Yeah yeah yeah, it's a junky disaster movie and the effects are pretty awful by today's standards, but I still love this silly flick. Maybe I'm just an easy lay for these kinds of movies, but I find myself laughing along and cheering with every set-up. The cast and their chemistry is great.
