I can tell this is referencing better movies, even if I haven't seen those movies. Still, it's a coen brothers style western crime caper in theaters in 2025, so who am I to complain.
I wasn’t originally going to check this one out but then seen another trailer for it and decided to give it a shot. It looked decent enough and sure enough I really enjoyed this one. It’s not super original and it’s pretty slow but it’s a fun time. I’ve really enjoyed how a lot of movies have been breaking the stories up into parts, acts or chapters lately. It’s something different and it works for me. I like Sydney Sweeney and Paul Walter Hauser a lot here. It was also nice to see Halsey getting a shot at a bigger role. I thought she was really good. There’s some really dry humor that worked well for me. The final act had a lot going on and was a ton of fun. This probably isn’t going to dazzle anyone but I enjoyed it for what it’s worth.
* Triple Feature at AMC Crestwood 18
The film is trying so hard to be "deep" that it forgot to be watchable.Glacial pacing, the characters are paper-thin, and the cinematography can't distract from the fact that nothing of substance ever happens.
