

The Green Dinosaur

When the world around him is mysteriously erased, a little green dinosaur named Diplodocus must travel through the pages of a comic book and adventure through time to bring color back to his land. Alongside a wizard and two scientists, Diplo’s plans go awry as he learns that there may be a dimension to his world that he never considered.
[Annecy '24] It is precisely when the film becomes more chaotic that it is most engaging, displaying imagination and almost surreal characters, such as a donkey who launches into endless philosophical rants. Although it must be recognized that it is a challenge to try to balance the approach aimed at a children's audience through a simpler narrative with the deployment of much more imaginative sequences, which develop in the realm of chaos and anarchy. Without being as convincing as the homage to the world of comics that it seems to propose, it is adequately entertaining and it is appreciated that it follows more risky paths in the development of the story, achieving in the end a result that can be very attractive to younger viewers.
