Beverly Hills Cop II

Axel Foley returns to the land of sunshine and palm trees to investigate the near-fatal shooting of police Captain Andrew Bogomil. With the help of Sgt. Taggart and Det. Rosewood, they soon uncover that the shooting is associated with a series of "alphabet" robberies masterminded by a heartless weapons kingpin—and the chase is on.

_Beverly Hills Cop II_ is a must-watch for fans of action-comedy movies. It manages to surpass its predecessor with its impressive blend of humor and thrilling action scenes. The film features a talented ensemble cast, including Judge Reinhold and John Ashton, who provide fantastic support to Murphy's comedic genius. The chemistry between the characters is fantastic, and the movie keeps you engaged all the way through.

The first sequel to "Beverly Hills Cop" is practically on par with the first part. The story is once again rather formulaic, but thanks to Eddie Murphy in top form, this is hardly a problem. In fact, the interplay between Murphy's Axel Foley and his sidekicks Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and Taggart (John Ashton) works even better. Meanwhile, the villains remain weak, as in the previous movie. I'll probably never understand why Brigitte Nielsen was a star in the 1980s, but she's not really a problem here either. Because Axel Foley's quirks alone are enough to carry the movie effortlessly.

A fun film, full of the cunning of Detective Axel Foley. Even though it may seem a little forced at times, it is still extremely funny. However, the voice acting change to Axel Foley was disappointing; his voice didn't match well. Despite this, he delivered great scenes.

As far as sequels go, it's pretty good. Follows in the similar vein as the original. The plot is nothing complicated, but it just gives enough reason for Eddie Murphy to return to Beverly Hills. It is completely his film though, as he is on point once again in a hilarious performance.

Axel Foley is back. Still good, though it does not reach the first movie.

Basically the same formula. The characters are better developed and used than in the first one, so that makes it more a real story than a Murphy one man show. The running gag of Rosewood getting gun crazy is hilarious.

The police work is completely brushed over, like do we ever even see one of the coded message ? I mean, we see it's
just a decoy in the end, but it would have been more of a reveal if anyone had actually cared about it in the story
.

Some jokes are getting cringe with time. Overall, I'd say it's an improvement on the first one.
