A journey marked by guilt, regret and the search for redemption. The movie has a good narrative, even though it embraces predictability and various clichés. However, no one uses these clichés with such ease and precision as Liam Neeson; his performance is great and convincingly conveys the weight his character carries. The plot reveals itself as a deeply melancholic experience, creating a cadenced rhythm and constant discomfort.

I thought it'd be worse. But it's actually not that bad, good movie to watch for one time. Sometimes we should look away, but maybe we should do the right thing?
There there a movie with similar premise, Knox Goes Away, starred Michael Keaton. That one I liked more than this, but Absolution is still watchable too.

It feels as if we've seen this before but thanks to the still-resonant star power of Neeson&a terrific supporting cast delivers a fair movie.

Agree with majority here, I liked the story but it was drawn out far too long

Absolution (2024) - ❤x5

Muscle for hire who is losing his memory due to too many concussions. Neeson was in another movie Memory (2022) where he was getting Alzheimer's which is a much better movie. Maybe Nesson forgot he already made another memory loss movie recently and then made this one too. (Relax! It's a joke.)

How I rate:
1-3 ❤ = seriously! don't waste your time
4-6 ❤ = you may or may not enjoy this
7-8 ❤ = I expect you will like this too
9-10 ❤ = movies and TV shows I really love!

Crime, thriller, action.... none of those.
Psychological drama is what it is. First 50 minutes are simply boring. It's one long slow trip of regret. Then there's 5 minutes of action and... that's it. A bit crime. Back to the slow drama.
