The Archies

Impeccable sets, incredible music, but average writing further let down by some unsurprisingly amateur acting. Suhana, specifically, is terrible from the get-go. With her character, they were likely trying to capture the disconnected elitism of Veronica Lodge but it never lands. Betty is marginally better but still suffers from flat delivery. The impression one gets is that all the actors are so stuck up that they never fully immerse themselves in their roles. The characters are meant to be campy so nothing less than complete commitment would do. It would seem, however, that the actors want the characters to still be cool even as they are playing them campy. Overall just a waste of everyone’s time including the actors’ it would seem.
