A classic survivor/thrill movie that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire way, as two young female climbers take a big risk to climb one of the tallest cell towers in the world in order to soul search after a dear friend passed away. Unlike most survival movies the sentimental story behind this plot is a bit deeper than normal and ties the entirety of the film together really well. And there is a horror/gore aspect that was unexpected, but a bit over done. The one negative aspect of this film is that the climb and the fight for survival at the top take up basically the entire film so the ending was very rushed. Overall the sentimental tie in this story and the filming of the little details of the climb in order to foreshadow was incredibly well done.

This was terrifying. Absolutely terrifying.

For someone who has severe acrophobia this was probably not the best film to watch as for the first part of the movie my face was hidden behind a cushion. However, this film does an incredible job at showing suspense and developing tension between the two titular characters.

Personally I do think the beginning is a bit silly. The main character loses her husband when he falls during one of their climbing journeys but then a year later climbs a much higher structure. As well Hunter is an absolute arsehole and horrible friend to make our protagonist climb this tower even though she shows clearly that she doesn't want to.

Having said that, the main portion of the film - the part where they were at the top of the tower was edge of the seat kind of stuff and surprisingly wasn't boring despite it being all in the same place.

This is a really amazing film - however I don't think I could ever stomach watching it again.

Anxiety inducing movie with a nice twist.
Initially I didn't feel like I wanted to watch this movie. Two skilled climbers go climb an abandoned tower and get stuck on top. It immediately reminded me of '43 meters down' but then I heard good things about it and that it had a nice twist so I caved.
I have to say it didn't disappoint. It's a thrilling, anxiety inducing movie that keeps that same feel throughout.
The twist was cool but not very shocking to me. When Hunter falls I immediately had my suspicions because I didn't imagine Becky being strong enough to pull her up and when she fell asleep and dreamed of the vultures I knew she was half out of it. Then the bag fell and it was absolutely clear to me.
The story had a nice pace. It kept me on the edge of my seat. Characters are relatable in the way that they show grief in their own different ways. Not in the way that I understand climbing that tower... I would never.
Hunter is probably meant to be unlikable
because she cheated with her best friend's husband (fiance at the time).
but I found her kind of cool. She is strong, quick and smart.

So actually a surprisingly good movie!

This film had my hands sweating almost the entire time. I looked past some of the cheesy / predictable / unrealistic stuff and really enjoyed it. The camerawork combined with the soundtrack made it really exciting.
my biggest nitpick is that it got a little slow towards the end
Billed as an action/thriller. No, this is a horror movie. This is without a doubt the most tense movie I has ever watched. There are no monsters, no demons, no serial killers, just a 2,000 foot drop.
This is a very simple movie: two friends, Becky, and Shiloh, climb a tower. Everything goes wrong, and they are stuck at the top.
Once they got there, I noticed that my feet, and palms were soaked in sweat. Soon after, my legs felt weak. Toward the end, my arms felt weak. Keep in mind, I do not have a fear of heights. If you do have acrophobia, do not watch this... **do not watch this**, you will probably pass out.
Our two leads - Grace Currey, and Virginia Gardner - carry the entire movie, and do so in one location. Fantastic movie, but one I will probably never watch a second time, because I do not want to feel like this again.
Reminded me a bit of _47 Meter Down_ (2017).
Just an amazing movie. I cannot recommend this enough. Just keep in mind the aforementioned warning.

@DrewMarz - I had to re-read your comment to realize what you were actually saying, which is, that the movie actually got to you. Yes, it is as a fellow movie goer commented afterwards, "a bit silly in places", but, we both agreed that, the movie ratcheted up the tension and kept it there the whole time, and, there were several effective jump scares, (the first one was a doozy) and, the others were also effective, especially because of the "twist" in the ad poster. Some interpersonal drama weaves it's way into the tale toward the third act, but, it was done in a way that didn't break your suspension of disbelief, and actually pulled me into the story more, as I wanted to see how things would be resolved and if their "Besties" relationship could be saved. The two leads are believable, even when doing something as IMO stupid as climbing a rusty, decommissioned 2000' ft tower in the middle of the desert. But, the instigator in this drama is "that friend" who always talks folks into doing said stupid shizz, for giggles, grins, and the "Gram" or YouTube, yet, they always seem to come out unscathed.

We've actually had several instances of similar behavior IRL recently, one unfortunate soul shedding his mortal coil from 1000 or so feet up, and one near miss just the other day:

Silly Rabbits!!! But I digress. In any case, I found the story compelling, as well as @DrewMarz opined, "anxiety inducing" and, I learned that vulture "tastes like chicken" in a pinch. Jeffrey Dean Morgan leaves "Lucille" in the bat rack long enough to dispense some fatherly wisdom and tough (non-concussive) love, and, even though I sussed out the final twist several minutes before it was revealed, I still enjoyed the conclusion and resolution. I will say though that the writers miss a perfect opportunity to hat tip Chief Brody, and have one of the girls say, "we're gonna need a LONGER rope!".

If you liked this movie, you should watch a drift aswell. It was getting me on the edge of the seat and the danger was real. I expected less.

I had legit sweaty hands the whole time they were up there. I enjoyed the show. Now, every time I pass a tower on the highway, I think of this.

No reason to rewatch, but definitely worth a watch.
