A rather excellent car, the best aviators, the tastiest matches, and the best broads. Cobra sure is the man!!! Maybe not the most typical cop, but he always gets his hook in the crook...
I love this film!!!
Simply a classic, the unkillable master-cop Cobra takes on the vaguely satanic axe-wielding cult that is going on a killing spree across LA. Lots of gunfights, a great car chase, and a showdown at a foundry (because Terminator did it, I guess? It even has The Terminator's music, sort of). Stupid, but endlessly rewatchable.
It's loud, violent, and unapologetically cheesy. But for those who appreciate the unapologetic excess of 80s action cinema, it's a blast. So, if you're looking for a mindless fun film with Stallone at his most ridiculously badass, crank up the synth soundtrack and grab some popcorn.
Cobra with brazilian voice is much better than original cobra
A 1980s action classic. Cool, unrealistic, over the top. All an action movie needs
Best lines of the movie.
Supermarket Killer:
Get back! I got a bomb here! I'll blow this whole place up!
Cobra:
Go ahead. I don't shop here.
Short and sweet.
'Cobra' is a straightforward, by the numbers action film with Sylvester Stallone. It doesn't really do much to drift you away from the obvious, but the action itself is entertaining and some of the deaths are quite cool to watch. The songs are passable, if not entirely well chosen.
Stallone, as you'd likely expect, is the only performer worth noting. He does his usual stuff and it comes across strong enough, one thing I didn't like about his character is his speech - the dialogue is kinda poor, they attempt to make Cobra a smooth, cool badass but it doesn't really work in that way.
I'd almost consider this a disappointing film, but the watchable action and Stallone himself carry this over the line for a good film in my opinion.
Entertaining and fast-paced old-school action flick. 90 minutes of fun, but nothing more.

By the numbers and unremarkable but it does it's job as an entertaining 80's action flick. You immediately know what you're walking into with those cheesy robbery statistics at the beginning. Sylvester Stallone is the machoest macho that ever machoed once again, he delivers some hilarious one-liners and he's an absolute badass. The villains are so cheesy and over-the-top (everything is, actually). The story never really blossomed into anything interesting. The action sequences aren't exceptional or memorable visually but they're still well-made and thrilling. Loved the car chase and the third act is action packed with an epic final kill. Has some *Terminator 2* vibes with the final action set piece. Take a shot every time you see a product placement. No Christmas spirit in sight but it has a few decorations.
I feel like I was just violated by the 80's, a nostalgic classic.
