Sniper: Rogue Mission

Great camera shots and soundtrack but an utterly forgettable cast. I had no idea this was part of a franchise. I tried to be too clever for its own good.

This was the last in the _Sniper_ franchise and wow…what a stinker. It would seem to me that this particular film doesn't really belong in the franchise, as perennial _Sniper_ protagonist Tom Berenger is nowhere to be seen anywhere near this particular film, and aside from Dennis Haysbert's part as the Colonel, there's absolutely nothing that ties this one in to any of the earlier films. As far as the quality of the film/story…this was just bad all the way around. So bad, in fact, that there were numerous times throughout where it was difficult to take the film seriously and/or decide if this was supposed to be serious, comedic, action/adventure, or pure campiness. Just ludicrous moments, absolutely silly dialogue, oddball characters that were completely out of place in what you might expect to be an action-type movie. I've watched certain movies that "weren't good" but I could at least say _"Not a bad way to spend an hour-and-a-half"_ ; that is not the case here. I feel like I just wasted almost two hours. I say avoid this one, even if you're a real fan of the _Sniper_ movies. This one does NOT belong.

Usually snipers hit the target, but in this movie the pros shoot more misses than hits. Maybe one of the worst sniper movies I've seen.
