If you're thinking of starting this drama, you should definitely consider watching Extraordinary You first. Trust me, it'll make watching True Beauty all the more fun.

This drama would be worth watching for the eye candy and fun references to other k-dramas alone. But it had so much more to offer!

The first few episodes were totally chaotic, extra and over the top. Kinda crazy, but a lot of fun! Then a few more serious topics like low self-esteem, bullying and psychological trauma were brought up. Honestly, the show struck a good balance between kooky and serious. It was funny and lighthearted, but also emotional and deep in certain aspects. It succeeded in making me laugh, swoon and pulling at my heartstrings.

And the casting! The 3 main actors look like the webtoon characters come to life. Which is insane. And they delivered solid performances all around. But I have to admit the older sister completely stole the show. All of her scenes were hilarious.

I absolutely loved this show and would recommend everyone who loves romance dramas watch it.

> True Beauty .. has beautiful ending

Regardless the hate
by Han Seo Jun fans
that goes around as the story doesn't stick to the webtoon .. As someone who didn't read it.. it was a good watch and has happy ending in my books.

The characters were more mature than most school dramas and nothing repetitive. School dramas are filled with Ahjummas trying to bypass system to get their kids good grades , corrupt teachers/vice-principals and a lot of bullying. Although it all starts with bullying the essence of the story is not moved by it but by the scars left on 3 children by bullying and how they meet/re-meet and heal ?

Except for the fact that they ruined a perfect good kid
Kang Soo-Jin who was kind and supportive to a backstabbing snake
just to make an outing everything else falls in place perfectly well .

I would recommend to watch this if you haven't read the webtoon as it would likely better you experience than when you compare with the webtoon and fight for your ships.

I didn’t think I would love this show as much as I did! I saw the Okie Dokie Clip and knew that this was something that had to be on my list. It made me cry, it made me rofl and it made me smile. I love Suho’s arc so much.

I wish Ju-Kyung would have given Seo-jun a chance... he stayed with her for 2 years.. he really is a good and caring boy. I would've been so happy to see what a relationship between the two could have been.
Don't get me wrong, Suho is also a very lovely guy and he did nothing wrong (not even the breaking up, I could so understand why he did that for Im Ju's sake). But I just wish Im Ju wasn't so blind for Seo-Jun love! My poor baby ♡

It is pretty good if you're looking for a ~cringy teenage~ drama, but if you've read the webtoon history you'ill be a little dissapointed srry to tell u :/ However I recommend it if you're looking for a drama to enjoy and see some good looking faces

I'm writing this comment right now and I'm not even halfway through the show, I'm on episode seven. I just need to get out there that this is so good, and that everyone should watch it. Like it's semi-cringy, but in a good way - in a fun-teenage-romance-drama-show way. I think one of my favourite things about the show is that the side characters have so much to do with the show and that they help spear on key scenes, my favourite being Ahn Hyun-gyu.
