My Dress-Up Darling

High schooler Wakana Gojo wants to become a kashirashi—a master craftsman who makes traditional Japanese Hina dolls. Though he's gung-ho about the craft, he knows nothing about the latest trends, and has a hard time fitting in with his class. The popular kids—especially one girl, Marin Kitagawa—seem like they live in a completely different world. That all changes one day, when she shares an unexpected secret with him, and their completely different worlds collide.
My Dress-Up Darling is a fantastic anime with exceptional voice acting, stunning character design, and top-tier animation that truly stands out. The story is engaging and enjoyable, perfectly fitting its slice-of-life and romantic comedy genres. If a second season hadn’t already been confirmed, I’d have been deeply disappointed by the lack of a more definitive resolution to the protagonists’ relationship in the first season.
Since it’s an adaptation of an ongoing manga, I firmly believe the anime should continue to follow the source material until the story reaches its conclusion. This would not only satisfy fans but also do justice to the narrative’s depth and emotional development.
