My Adventures with Superman

Loved this take on young Superman, Lois, and Jimmy at the Daily Planet. The animation is cool, and the story's got a nice mix of action and friendship vibes. Definitely worth a watch.

An entertaining anime style version of Superman. With a gun-ho hyperactive version of Lois Lane. That isn’t too far fetched. It fits the character and the fact that this is more like anime.

'My Adventures with Superman' is such a comfort watch. It's so sincere, funny, optimistic, and full of heart, and just peak Superman. With some more serious turns in the story as well, keeping things interesting.

One of the deviations from the classic comics that more modern stories have taken is having Lois actually be attracted to the kind, dorky, and awkward Clark right away when she first meets him, instead of her fascination being primarily focused on Superman. That's something I'm a big fan of and it's really well executed here. Their romance is really sweet and believable, and the whole dynamic and humour between Clark, Lois, and Jimmy as friends and young interns on the Daily Planet works excellently too.

The animation is good and I love Lois design, but it makes no sense that is an Adult Swim show when is basically an All Ages Show. Any of the Superman Animated movies are more mature than this show

Part 79 of watching every tv series or season released in 2023 (an impossible task but I try my best)

My adventures with superman is a new animated universe that gives dc fans including the younger audience and new interpretation of Superman's origin story with a big focus on his relationship with Lois Lane. The main question surrounding the series was surrounding what audience this series was for, and while I agree it is most definitely directed toward a younger audience of DC fans, there is a ton of value for any fan of superman here with some cool reference to niche and common villains in the universe. We are in desperate need of superman content in cinematic format and while we wait for James Gunn's Superman Legacy I would advise anyone who loves the character to check out this adaptation. Things I would change would include adding some sort well known villain as I was not entirely invested or have ever been invested in Amanda Waller's shenanigans as I find her character unbelievably annoying as well as showing Clark's struggle with his powers more as he is much stronger than he knows. As for the flow of episodes I did notice the middle episodes being slightly boring as the introductory charm started getting repetitive and the narrative begin to get sloppy, but the series really picks up towards the end with a two part arc that was most definitely the strongest storyline of the season. Overall, the show did not reinvent the character and is towards a younger audience but any superman or DC should check this series out if they are craving some new content.
