I’m absolutely at a loss for words seeing how poorly rated this anime is—I genuinely don’t understand why. It’s easily a strong 7 out of 10 at the very least. A 59% rating is truly undeserved, and I hope you won’t take it at face value. Give it a chance and form your own opinion by watching at least the first episode.
The show is very intriguing, and the story is incredibly well-written and produced (currently, only six episodes are out). The voice acting is spot-on as well. The first episode alone convinced me that this would turn into something really good, so I’m a bit disappointed by the reviews here.
The only downside that might be swaying opinions is the somewhat lackluster animation during action scenes. However, the story more than makes up for it. Personally, unless the animation is TBAE-level bad, it doesn’t really bother me. The overall art style is beautiful.
If you’re into action-fantasy tropes, I strongly recommend giving this anime a shot.
Sword of the Demon Hunter is off to an intense start and I like how they took their time in the first episode to get us all invested with the main character, it's not fast paced to start but I'm excited to see what comes next.
